Each of our hospitals is accredited by the CIHQ (Center for Improvement in Healthcare Quality). The Center for Improvement in Healthcare Quality is the nation’s newest accreditation provider approved by CMS to deem acute care hospitals as meeting Medicare Conditions of Participation. The CIHQ program strives to ensure that patients receive care in organizations that exceed minimum standards set forth by the federal government. The CIHQ is committed to helping hospitals improve the quality of care rendered in their community by providing the tools and support they need in a collegial, respectful, educational, and cost-effective manner.
In addition, our hospitals have each been awarded certification by the Commission on Laboratory Accreditation (COLA). COLA is the premier clinical laboratory accreditation, education and consultation organization. It is an independent accreditor whose practical, educational standards have a positive and immediate impact on patient care. COLA’s services enable clinical laboratories and staff to meet CLIA and other regulatory requirements, provide the best possible patient care, and act in accordance with Quality Systems.
