Vivian Goff

Ms. Goff has worked in critical care primarily in the Athens area for most of her career. She is a CCRN and has practiced in various critical care areas including MICU, SICU, NICU, CVICU, and CCU where she served in variety of leadership roles.

She went on to obtain an MBA from Brenau University in Gainesville, GA in order to expand her knowledge of healthcare administration. Her strengths in critical care and passion for quality outcomes have kept her at the bedside until now. She is excited to have the opportunity to make a bigger difference in patient outcomes in her role as Chief Clinical Officer at Landmark Hospital of Athens.

Wayne F. Middendorf,

Medical Director

Dr. Wayne F. Middendorf is the Chief of Staff and Medical Director of Landmark Hospital of Athens. Dr. Middendorf is the senior partner for Athens Pulmonary & Allergy, P.C. located in Athens, GA. This group consists of eight pulmonologists that rotate through our facility. Dr. Middendorf is Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Medicine and Critical Care Medicine. Dr. Middendorf joined our staff before the opening of our hospital and was instrumental in the recruitment of several of our consulting physicians. He has been very helpful in establishing policies as Landmark Hospital of Athens established itself as a quality medical facility.

Dr. Middendorf is a graduate of SUNY at Buffalo School of Medicine, New York. He then completed an Internship at the Mayo Graduate School of Medicine, Rochester, MN. He completed his Residency in Internal Medicine at the Mayo Clinic, as well as his Fellowship in Pulmonary Medicine. His professional societies include, American Thoracic Society, American College of Chest Physicians, and the Society of Critical Care Medicine. He has served as President of the medical staff at both Athens Regional Medical Center and St. Mary’s Hospital, located in Athens, GA.

Dr. Middendorf is active in the community and has established himself as a leader and role model for other physicians as he has had a very successful practice with close to thirty years of experience.
